With its equilibrium that tends towards sweet and fruit flavours, Veuve Clicquot Demi-Sec is an indulgent treat for champagne lovers – and perfectly suited for dessert. Try pairing Demi-Sec with blue cheese or
Panettone.
As with all Veuve Clicquot blends, Demi-Sec is predominantly Pinot Noir (40-45%), which gives the champagne its fundamental structure. The pursuit of very distinct fruit flavors means that there is a higher
level of Meunier (30-35%) in the blend than would typically be found in Yellow Label, for example, and Chardonnay completes the blend (20-25%). The inclusion of 30-45% reserve wines ensures the consistency
of the Veuve Clicquot style

Veuve Clicquot’s Demi-Sec Champagne is blended from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier completed by about a quarter of Chardonnay and 15-25% of reserve wines. The higher dosage gives it richer notes with detracting from its freshness. A beautiful yellow colour, deep golden glints, and even mousse. An intense fragrance reminiscent of ripe fruit (candied citrus fruit, fruit liqueurs) with notes of brioche and toast. Round and mellow in the mouth, with mild acidity maintaining a pleasant silkiness. The Demi-Sec is at its best with desserts.
