Distiller’s Reserve is a tribute to Suntory’s 90 year commitment to Japanese whisky making while paying homage to Founding Father Shinjiro Torii’s vision. His grandson, third generation master blender Shingo Torii, along with Suntory’s team of blenders, have developed this next chapter in Japanese whisky making.

The innovation in Yamazaki Distiller’s Reserve, comes from its team of blenders, under the direction of Shingo Torii himself, and from a “young talent” whisky that is finished in French oak wine casks from Bordeaux. It’s a very engaging young whisky recognized for its smooth, easy-to-drink, sweet strawberry notes. In respecting Yamazaki’s signature taste, the blenders utilized Yamazaki sherry cask

malt whiskies (aged approximately 20 years) to add complexity and create dried fruit notes. Japanese oak (Mizunara) malt whiskies were used in order to harmonize the contrasting flavours. This provides an innovative round-body and depth, characteristic of The Yamazaki.

Yamazaki’s Distiller’s Reserve is a rich, easy-to-drink whisky with a profound and mature taste. On the nose strawberry and cherry hints that continue onto the palate with raspberry, white peach and a touch of coconut.
