Often described as “England’s Sauvignon Blanc”, the Lychgate Bacchus from Bolney Estate is a fragrant wine with floral, fruity notes at the forefront. Whole bunch pressed, cool-fermentation then took place in stainless steel tanks which ensures the retention of the primary fruit aromas. A small portion of the blend was in contact with the lees before blending and filtration.
Bolney Estate Wine is one of the longest-established vineyards and has been making award-winning wines at its Sussex estate for over 35 years. The sandstone soils are some of the best in the country and provide the perfect conditions to grow vines. A haven for wildlife, the Bolney Estate vineyard uses traditional production techniques and cultural practices. They also avidly promote and maintain soil health, fertility and stability in its vineyards.
